Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet visited CAST’s international tour program of China Mobile Science and Technology Museums in Cambodia on October 5, 2023.
Hun Manet experienced multiple hands-on exhibits and listened to the behind scientific principles.
He applauded the delicate ideas and designs of the ingenuity display from China, adding that the international tour program was of great significance, and the bilateral cooperation model was awesome.
"It provides young people chances to have a direct understanding of science, and it inspires their exploration in relevant fields. It also ignites new ideas for science education programs in Cambodia", Hun Manet said.
Since 2018, the Phnom Penh Youth Federation in Cambodia joined hands with the China Science and Technology Museum (CSTM) to introduce the latter’s international tour program to Cambodia, based on which the federation provides all year round science education services to the public, serving nearly 50,000 local people in totally 5 years.
The international tour program has received unanimous recognition from the local government and the public.
This time the program served as part of a series of activities to celebrate the "World Teachers' Day (WTD)" designated by UNESCO, demonstrating CAST’s continuous efforts to facilitate people-to-people connectivity and an concrete action for the 10th anniversary of President Xi Jinping’s proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
