The China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) announced their "Selected Papers of the 7th China Association for Science and Technology Excellent Scientific Paper Selection Program," and two papers from the flagship journal of the Chinese Chemical Society, CCS Chemistry, were selected! The two papers are from the research teams of Rong Cao of the Fujian Institute of the Structure of Matter, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shu-Li You of the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Our hearty congratulations to all the authors.
Since 2016, each year CAST chooses the "Selection of Outstanding Scientific and Technological Papers of the China Association for Science and Technology". Excellent papers are chosen that show a leading role in original innovation, guide high-level results to be published in domestic journals, promote the development of China's scientific and technological journals, create a high-end academic exchange platform for scientific and technological workers, and provide more solid support for scientific and technological self-reliance. This year's shortlist contained 95 excellent articles from 10 subject clusters, including mathematics, physics and chemistry and interdisciplinary clusters, earth science clusters, and electrical engineering, electronics and information technology clusters.

CCS Chemistry, founded in 2019, is the flagship journal of the Chinese Chemical Society and is a self-funded and self-built platform. Since its inception, CCS Chemistry has always adhered to the original intention and goal of "creating China's independent world-class chemistry journal and publishing outstanding research results that have a real impact on the field of chemistry". Our publishing volume has increased year by year, and the journal is indexed in Scopus, CAS, DOAJ, and ESCI.
