The National Museum for Modern Chinese Scientist (online version) is a portal website that shows the academic growth of modern Chinese scientists.
Relying on the achievements of the project of “Collecting Historic Data of Scientists’ Academic life” led by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), the online museum, since it was initiated 8 years ago, has collected and digitalized materials concerning the academic growth of 438 modern Chinese scientists, including 9,998 precious historical documents, 2,070 news reports, 339 audio-visual materials, 10,075 chronologies,135 biographies and 11,918 directory lists of selected publications.
At present, the National Academy of Innovation Strategy (NAIS) of CAST is responsible for the operation and construction of the online museum.
The 2021 program of awarding 500 fine works which add momentum to social development was sponsored by the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, organized by the network communication bureau of the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, China Internet Development Foundation and CCTV, and co-organized by the people.cn, Xinhuanet, gmw.cn, huanqiu.com, and other online platforms.
With the theme of "Struggling people, striving China", the program solicited and exhibited serial fine works with wide social influences and recognized their producers, aiming to motivate, encourage and lead people to strive for the 14th Five-year Plan and make contributions to the new journey in cyberspace.
