Luo Hui, member of the leading Party members group and director general of the Department of International Affairs of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), met a delegation led by Keith Azzopardi Tanti, parliament secretary for youth, research and innovation of the Republic of Malta in Beijing on May 19, 2023.

The two sides exchanged views on carrying out scientific and cultural exchanges and cooperation, especially in the field of science communication.

Luo Hui welcomed Tanti and his colleges. She outlined CAST organization to Maltese guests, and expressed her desire to join hands with the Tanti’s office  to support communication among sci-tech circles of the two countries.

Tanti introduced the development of youth, research and innovation in Malta.He sought a long-term mechanism with CAST to expand more sci-tech cooperation.

Tanti and his delegation visited the display area of the history of CAST. The two sides exchanged views on science and technology museums cooperation and scientific and cultural exchanges among teenagers.

Also present at the event were officers of the Department of Science Popularization of CAST, the China Science and Technology Museum (CSTM), and the Children and Youth Science Center (CYSC) of CAST, ambassador of the Republic of Malta to China John Busuttil, heads of strategic, research and technical affairs of the Committee of Science and Technology of Malta, and the Interactive Science Center Esplora in Malta.
