CAST and Hungarian Federation of Technical and Scientific Societies reach new cooperation agreement
2008 / 10 / 10

A new cooperation agreement between the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and the Federation of Technical and Scientific Societies of Hungary (MTESZ) was signed by Prof. Han Qide, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of NPC and also president of CAST, and Prof. Geza Gordos, chairman of MTESZ, on behalf of their respective organizations, on September 18, 2008. The said agreement is aimed at promoting the long-term cooperation on economy, science & technology, and education between the two countries, and further strengthening the cooperative linkage between the two organizations.

According to the signed agreement, the two sides will dispatch experts in various engineering fields to visit each other and obtain an overall understanding of the S&T achievements in the two countries. These experts are also expected to discuss cooperative projects in which one or both sides are interested. The two sides will jointly set up the mechanism for the visits of experts in selected industrial fields. They are to provide facilitations towards the organizational work of industrial exhibitions and technical exchanges, and support the scientific and technical progress in SMEs. They can participate in the international meetings or activities organized by the other side under reciprocal conditions, and maintain coordination and cooperation on important issues in the international organizations or multi-lateral activities in which they are both involved.
