Wang Zhengming, director and a senior engineer of China Railway First Survey and Design Institute. During his 30 year engagement in survey and design, he chaired several projects of layout research and design of large-scale railway junction terminals and main marshalling stations, led the programs of Survey and Design and R&D of several passenger dedicated lines and high speed rails, participated the research of planning of railway network of Southeast China, Southern China, and Northwest China, and thus made outstanding contribution to China’s railway development.
Wang Zhengming took charge the work of design and technology decision-making for several extra large marshalling stations and large-scale railway junction terminals. Under his charge, compilation of overall national marshalling stations construction plan and planning and design layout of several large railway junction terminals, including Xi’an, Lanzhou and Urumqi.
Wang Zhengming also chaired the survey and design and key technology decision-making of several railway transportation channel and long and large railway lines. He also chaired the survey and design and key technology decision-making of 40 long and large railway lines including Qinhai -Tibet line and Beijing - Kowloon line.
Wang Zhengming organized several engineering disaster and natural disaster on site relieving efforts. Especially after the May 12 Wenchuan earthquake of 2008, he immediately organized all staffs of the institute to join the efforts of disaster relief and after quake re-construction, and received extensive recognitions and high honor.
