Research Team on Science Culture Held Mid-Term Exchanges

3 members of Research team on science culture of CRISP participated in mid-term exchanges in University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) from July 1st to 3rd, 2015, research participants from Peking University, Tsinghua University and University of Science and Technology of China also participated in the discussion, the seminar was chaired by Zheng Nian, Head of Division for Information Studies, CRISP.
The theme of the seminar is “the rising and development of science culture construction, its content, mission, construction path and science culture measure,” the theme is of great importance to theoretical and practical study of science culture, and bridging an exchange platform for science culture construction and enhancing academic interaction.
Zheng Nian made a report entitled science culture construction case and science culture development measure studies. He pointed out that case studies is vitally important to science culture construction where he illustrated some examples to prove it.
Other members of the research team also made their respective reports regarding an array of topics having to do with science culture construction. For example, Professor Tang Shukun from University of Science and Technology of China made a report entitled development paths for science culture construction; Professor Zhou Cheng from Peking University made a report in terms of the rising and development of science culture construction; and Professor Li Zhengfeng from Tsinghua University made a report entitled the content and mission of science culture construction in China.
 Specific and clear tasks were set for respective participating institutes and universities based on the discussion and exchange. This can effectively avoid and eliminate unnecessary repetition and redundancy in the research. More importantly, members of research team reached a consensus on some important issues pertaining to the research, this can provide a strong guarantee for the completion of the research in line with the pre-set time.
