Starting in April 2007, China's high-speed rail industry has experienced rapid growth, overcoming technological challenges brought on by conditions such as long distances, high population densities and inhospitable terrain.

China has the world's longest high-speed rail network with roughly 22,000 kilometers at the end of last year, accounting for more than 60 percent of the world's total.

China intends to extend the operational length of its high-speed railways to 30,000 kilometers by 2020. The network will cover more than 80 percent of the major cities in the country - And with the overseas marketing expanding, travelers in other countries will also enjoy the same level of comfort and convenience.
