    1. Huai Jinpeng
      Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Secretary of CAST

      Huai Jinpeng, male, ethnic Han, was born in Jinan City, east China's Shandong Province in December 1962.

      He joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in January 1986, and began to work in September 1987. He holds a Doctorate Degree in Engineering, and is a professor and academician of the Chinese Academy of Science (CAS).

      Huai Jinpeng now serves as secretary of the Leading Party Members 'Group, executive vice president and chief executive secretary of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST).

      He previously served as a teacher of the computer science department, deputy director, director, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, vice president, executive vice president of Beihang University. In May 2009, he was promoted to president of the university, obtaining vice-minister level rank. In November 2009 he was elected as academician of the CAS.

      In February 2015, Huai was appointed deputy minister of Information Technology and member of the Leading Party Members'Group of the Ministry.

      In December 2016, Huai was appointed deputy secretary of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee.

      In August 2017, he was transferred to become secretary of the Leading Party Members'Group and chief executive secretary of CAST. In September 2017, he was elected to be executive vice president of the Association.

      Huai is a deputy to the 12th National People's Congress, deputy to the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, member of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC, and member of the Central Coordination Group for Talent Work (CCGTW).

    2. Xu Yanhao
      Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group, Vice President and Executive Secretary of CAST

      Xu Yanhao, male, ethnic Han, was born in Shenyang City, northeast China's Liaoning Province in October 1962.

      He joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in December 1984, and began to work in July 1985. He is a medical doctor and a professor of medicine and public health.

      Xu Yanhao currently serves as deputy secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group, vice president and executive secretary of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST).

      He previously served as secretary of the Communist Youth League, deputy director and director of the China Medical University (CMU) President's Office; deputy director of the General Planning Division, director of the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center, director of the Social Development Division, director of the Center for Sustainable Development of Shenyang Committee on Science and Technology; vice president of Shenyang Association for Science and Technology and president of the Shenyang Institute of Biotechnology; president and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Shenyang Medical College; president and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the China Science and Technology Museum.

      In May 2011, Xu was transferred to become member of the Standing Committee, member of the Leading Party Members' Group and executive secretary of CAST. In May 2016, he was promoted to deputy secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group, and was elected vice president of the Association in June.

      Xu is a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), member of the Committee of Science, Education, Culture, Health and Sports, deputy to the 17th and 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, deputy to the 13th National People's Congress, and member of the Credentials Committee.

    3. Chen Gang
      Member of the Leading Party Members'Group, Executive Secretary of CAST (Vice-Minister Level)

      Chen Gang, male, ethnic Han, was born in Chongyang County, central China's Hubei Province in May 1966.

      He joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in May 1988, and began to work in August 1989. He holds a Master's Degree in Engineering, and is a senior engineer.

      Chen currently serves as member of the Leading Party Members' Group and executive secretary of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST).

      He previously served as lecturer, secretary of the Communist Youth League, political instructor, CPC Party Committee member of the School of Architecture, Tsinghua University; assistant mayor of Liuzhou Municipal People's Government, director of Liuzhou Municipal Urban Integrated Management Office in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; member and secretary of the Leading Party Members'Group, deputy director and director of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Urban Planning; deputy mayor and member of the Leading Party Members’ Group of Beijing Municipal People's Government, and member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee.

      In February 2017, Chen was appointed deputy director and member of the Leading Party Members' Group of the Office of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project Construction Committee, State Council.

      In March 2018, he was appointed member of the Leading Party Members'Group of CAST, and was elected as executive secretary of the Association in May, obtaining vice-minister level rank.

      Chen is an alternate member of the 18th CPC Central Committee.

    4. Wu Haiying
      Member of the Leading Party Members' Group, Executive Secretary of CAST

      Wu Haiying, female, ethnic Hui, was born in Lintan County, northwest China's Gansu Province in May 1963.

      She joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in December 1984 and began to work in October 1982. Wu holds a Doctorate Degree in Management, and is a professor.

      She currently serves as member of the Standing Committee, member of the Leading Party Members'Group and executive secretary of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST).

      Wu previously served as a teacher of Economics Department, deputy director and director in Ningxia University. In December 1997, she was promoted to vice president of the university.

      In October 2002, she was appointed deputy secretary of the Leading Party Member's Group and president of the Ningxia Academy of Social Sciences, and vice president of the Ningxia Federation of Social Science Circles.

      In 2004, Wu was approved to receive the State Council special allowance. In January 2008, she was appointed secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and director of the Population and Family Planning Commission of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

      In December 2010, Wu was transferred to become director general of the General Office of CAST, and was appointed member of the Leading Party Members'Group in January 2014, then was promoted to executive secretary in April 2015, and elected member of the Standing Committee of the Association in June 2016.

      She is a deputy to the 10th and 11th National People's Congress and deputy to the 19th National Congress of the CPC.

    5. Shu Wei
      Member of the Leading Party Members'Group, Executive Secretary of CAST

      Shu Wei, male, ethnic Han, was born in Huzhou City, east China's Zhejiang Province in December 1967.

      He joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in October 1986 and began to work in August 1990. Shu graduated from the Department of Automation in Tsinghua University, and obtained the doctor's degree in Engineering.

      He currently serves as member of the standing committee, member of the Leading Party Members'Group and executive secretary of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST).

      Shu previously served as secretary of the Communist Youth League, minister of the Student Affairs Department and minister of the Armed Forces of the Party Committee of Tsinghua University.

      He was a visiting scholar at the City University of Hong Kong from December 1996 to September 1998.

      In June 2003, Shu was appointed deputy chief of Chaoyang District Beijing Municipal People's Government, director of the Beijing Central Business District Administration Committee, deputy director of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, deputy director and deputy secretary of the Leading Party Members'Group of Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce.

      In January 2013, he took up a post as curator and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the China Science and Technology Museum.

      In January 2014, Shu became member of the Leading Party Members'Group of CAST, and was promoted to executive secretary and member of the Standing Committee of CAST in June 2016.

    6. Xiang Changle
      Member of the Leading Party Members' Group, Executive Secretary of CAST (A Temporary Post)

      Xiang Changle, male, ethnic Han, was born in Liu'an City, east China's Anhui Province in April 1963.

      He joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in December 1983 and began to work in May 1987. Xiang holds a PhD Degree in Engineering, and is a professor and doctorial tutor.

      He currently serves as member of the Standing Committee, member of the Leading Party Members' Group and executive secretary of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST).

      Xiang was hired as distinguished professor of the “Cheung Kong Scholars Program of China” in 2008, head of the “Program for Innovative Research Team” of the Ministry of Education of the PR China. in 2009, and Chief Scientist of the “National Security Basic Research Program” in 2012.

      He has long been committed to the research on vehicle transmission and vehicle dynamics. His research results have been applied in the new generation of armored equipment completely, and won first and second class of the National Science & Technology Progress Award, and first, second and special prize for science and technology progress of ministerial (provincial) level.

      Xiang previously served as associate professor, deputy director, professor and director of the Teaching and Research Section of Military Vehicles at the School of Vehicular Engineering, Beijing Institute of Technology; executive vice president of the School of Automotive and Traffic Engineering, Dean of the School of Mechanical and Vehicular Engineering, dean of the School of Mechanical and Vehicular, and Party Committee member of Beijing Institute of Technology.

      In November 2014, he was appointed member of the Party Committee and vice president of Beijing Institute of Technology, and promoted to deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the university in May 2015.

    7. Song Jun
      Member of the Leading Party Members'Group, Executive Secretary of CAST, concurrently Director General of the Department of Academic and Societies Affairs (the Office for Cooperation with Enterprises) of CAST

      Song Jun, male, ethnic Han, was born in Beijing in April 1961.

      He joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in May 1982 and began to work in August 1990. Song holds a Ph.D. degree in Engineering, and is a researcher.

      He currently serves as member of the Leading Party Members' Group, executive secretary, director general of the Department of Academic and Societies Affairs, and director of the Office for Cooperation with Enterprises of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST).

      Song previously served as deputy secretary, secretary of the Communist Youth League, director of the Student Affairs Division, deputy secretary general of Tsinghua University; president of the Enterprise Group of Tsinghua University, chairperson of the Tsinghua Holdings Co., Ltd., and secretary general of Tsinghua University Education Foundation.

      In March 2013, he took up a position as deputy director general of the Department of Academic and Societies Affairs of CAST, and was promoted to director general of this department in December 2014.

      In April 2015, Song was appointed director of the Office for Cooperation with Enterprises of CAST, and became member of the Leading Party Members'Group of the association in May 2016.

      And he was elected executive secretary of CAST in May 2018.

    8. Wang Shoudong
      Member of the Leading Party Members'Group, concurrently Director General of the Department of the Department of Organization and Personnel

      Wang Shoudong, male, ethnic Han, was born in Xinjin County, northeast China's Liaoning Province in October 1961.

      He joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in June 1984 and began to work in July 1984. Wang holds a Bachelor Degree of Science, and is a senior engineer.

      Wang currently serves as member of the Leading Party Members'Group, director general of the Department of Organization and Personnel of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST).

      He previously served as cadre of Science and Technology Cadres Training College of CAST; director of the Organizational Division, director of the Human Resources and Officials Management Division, deputy director general of the Department of the Organization and Personnel of CAST.

      In April 2010, Wang was appointed executive deputy secretary of the Party Committee of CAST Administrative Departments. And in January 2015, he was appointed director general of the Department of Organization and Personnel of CAST, concurrently secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of CAST.

      In May 2018, he became member of the Leading Party Members'Group of CAST.

    9. Yin Hao
      Member of the Leading Party Members'Group, Curator of the China Science and Technology Museum

      Yin Hao, male, ethnic Han, was born in north China's Tianjin City in August 1965.

      He joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in May 1986 and began to work in July 1988. Yin holds a Master's Degree in Engineering, and is an engineer.

      Yin currently serves as member of the Leading Party Members' Group of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), curator and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the China Science and Technology Museum.

      He previously served as cadre of the Engineering Department of Tianjin Pipe Corporation (TPCO), cadre of the Department of Science Popularization, principal staff member of the Factories and Mines Division of CAST; director of the Secretaries Division of the General Office of CAST; deputy director general of the General Office, and deputy director general of the Department of Science Popularization of CAST.

      In January 2012, Yin was appointed deputy curator and secretary of the Party Committee of the China Science and Technology Museum.

      In April 2017, he become curator and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the China Science and Technology Museum.

      In May 2018, Yin was elected member of the Leading Party Members'Group of CAST.
