CSE and OSE sign MoU
Luo Hui, Vice President and Co-Secretary General of the Chinese Society of Engineers (CSE), met with Eng. Fuad Al Kindi, Chairman of the Omani Institution of Engineers (OSE), in Muscat on January 29, 2025.
During the meeting, the two sides reached a consensus on promoting engineering capacity building and mutual recognition, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation. This marks the first MoU signed between the Chinese engineering community and a Gulf engineering organization.
The OSE, established in 2001, is a non-governmental and not-for-profit organization representing Omani engineering disciplines and both Omani and foreign engineers working in Oman.
The OSE is also a member of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), the Federation of Arab Engineers (FAE), and the Gulf Engineering Union. During the talks, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on engineering capacity building, engineering education, mutual recognition of engineers, and exchanges between young engineers.
Also present at the meeting were officers from the Department of Strategic Development, the National Academy of Innovation Strategy (NAIS), and the Center for Professional Training and Services affiliated with the CAST.
