Wan Gang meets with former US Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz

Wan Gang, President of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), met with the visiting former US Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz in Beijing on October 10, 2024.

Wan Gang briefed the visiting guest about China’s achievements in developing New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) and accelerating the green and low-carbon transformation.

He expected more cooperation around the green and low-carbon development among the academic and industrial circles worldwide in the future.

Moniz applauded China's achievements in the development of NEVs and its efforts in transforming energy structure.

He hoped that China and the United States (US) would strengthen cooperation under more bilateral and multilateral frameworks to jointly address global challenges.

Also present at the meeting were the heads of the Department of International Affairs of CAST.
