National Museum for Modern Chinese Scientist opens
May 30th marks the eighth "National Science and Technology Workers' Day." The National Museum for Modern Chinese Scientist officially opened and held its inaugural exhibition.
The museum is located within the National Science Communication Center in the cultural complex of Beijing's Olympic Center area.
It integrates functions of "collection, preservation, research, exhibition, education, and publicity," showcasing the images of Chinese scientists and promoting the spirit of science.
The museum's collection is based on the research results of the "Old Scientists' Academic Growth Data Collection Project," and it has already archived valuable historical materials including letters, manuscripts, scientific instruments, works, audio and video recordings, and related artifacts and documents from over 500 Chinese scientists.
