2025 CAST International Affairs Capacity-Building Workshop Held in Beijing

The 2025 China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) International Affairs Capacity-Building Workshop was held in Beijing from February 26 to March 1, 2025.

Participants included officials in charge of international affairs and international affairs coordinators of administrative departments and functioning institutions from the CAST and its grassroots organizations.

Luo Hui, Executive Secretary of the leading Party members group and Director General of the Department of International Affairs of the CAST, attended the workshop and delivered a keynote speech.

The workshop focused on the major priorities of CAST's external work for the year, providing specialized guidance on work plans, workflow management, operational organization, and performance evaluation.

Representatives from relevant government departments were invited to interpret foreign affairs policies.

The workshop also featured in-depth discussions on topics including the development of international scientific organizations, international recognition of engineering capabilities, mobility of young scientists across countries, people-to-people exchanges among the countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, and convening international science conferences.

During the workshop, international affairs coordinators from various departments, institutions, and academic societies engaged in in-depth study and discussion based on the newly revised work manual.
