During the meeting, Wan Gang highlighted that under the strategic guidance of the heads of China and the UAE, bilateral relations have been developing in a healthy and stable manner, with mutually beneficial and win-win practical cooperation yielding positive outcomes.
He briefed the attendees about China's advancements in promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of its energy and automobile industries, and expressed hope that in the future, the academic and industrial circles of China and the UAE would strengthen dialogue and cooperation in fields including green energy and smart transportation.
He stressed that the collaboration aims to better utilize sci-tech achievements to aid the economic and social development of both countries and benefit their peoples.
Al Hammadi applauded China's advancements in energy structure transformation and the development of its New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) industry.
He noted that the UAE is committed to transitioning from an oil-based economy to one driven by knowledge and innovation, and is working towards achieving zero-carbon goals through legislation and planning.
He expressed the UAE's willingness to fully engage in communication, build consensus, and enhance cooperation with the Chinese sci-tech circles.
Together, they aim to promote sci-tech advancements, facilitate industrial transformation, and jointly address the common challenges faced by humanity.
The two sides also delved into topics including promoting the exchanges of young sci-tech professionals, collaborating on science popularization efforts, and engaging in academic exchanges.
Following the meeting, Al Hammadi and his delegation visited the History Display of the CAST.
Also present at the meeting were representatives from the Department of International Affairs of the CAST and the China Society of Automotive Engineers.
