The Social Simulation Specialized Committee of the Asia Simulation Federation established

The 24th Asia Simulation Conference (AsiaSim 2025) was held at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore from November 17 to 19, 2025. During the conference, the Social Simulation Specialized Committee of the Asia Simulation Federation was inaugurated.

The Social Simulation Specialized Committee aims to build a robust bridge connecting physical simulation, cyberspace simulation, and social simulation, providing comprehensive solutions for addressing complex challenges such as urbanization, social governance, and emergency management. Leveraging the foundation of the Asian Social Simulation Association in academic activities, platform development (e.g., agentblock.net), and talent cultivation, the Committee will work to drive breakthroughs in methodological integration, policy design, and interdisciplinary collaboration within the Asian simulation community. This initiative is expected to enhance the overall capability of the Asian region in simulating coupled socio-technical systems, tackling regional development challenges from a more holistic perspective.

The 24th Asia Simulation Conference is one of a series of activities organized for the CAST International Month 2025: Openness, Cooperation, Trust. Held under the theme “S.T.I. Bridges, Humanity Orients,” International Month 2025 brings international science and technology organizations, local governments, national societies, and provincial associations together to deepen dialogue and expand cooperation between Chinese and international scientists for shared progress.
