International Symposium on Intelligent Manufacturing at 2026 WSTDF
To All Relevant Organizations and Partners,
To foster international cooperation in scientific and technological innovation, deepen global science and technology governance, guide global technological development, and build international consensus, the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) will hold the 2026 World Science and Technology Development Forum (WSTDF) in Chongqing, China, from October 21 to 23, 2026.
As a crucial component of WSTDF 2026, the International Symposium on Intelligent Manufacturing, organized by ICIM, will take place in Chongqing on October 22. Under the theme "Empowering Industry Through Intelligence, Shaping a Collaborative Future," the symposium aims to create a high-level exchange platform integrating technology implementation, experience sharing, and international collaboration.
Currently, the rapid and deep integration of artificial intelligence and industrial foundation models with manufacturing is profoundly reshaping the global industrial landscape. As a key manufacturing hub in western China, Chongqing boasts the highest number of national-level "Excellence"-tier smart factories in the region and is currently at a pivotal leap-forward stage from "Excellence" to "Pioneering." Closely aligned with Chongqing's practical needs in intelligent manufacturing, this symposium will gather top scholars, policymakers, and industry leaders in the field of intelligent manufacturing to conduct in-depth discussions on core topics such as technical standards, industrial upgrading, and ecosystem building, contributing wisdom and solutions to advance the high-quality development of intelligent manufacturing.
To enrich the academic exchange outcomes of WSTDF 2026 and promote academic dialogue and technological progress in intelligent manufacturing, we are now issuing a global call for papers in related fields. We cordially invite experts, scholars, and practitioners to participate and submit papers. Details are as follows.

Requirements for papers
1. Content Guidelines
Papers must strictly align with the forum's theme, be original and unpublished, contain no confidential information, present clear arguments based on factual data, and adhere strictly to academic integrity.
2. Language and Length Requirements
Papers may be written in Chinese or English. Abstracts must be provided in both Chinese and English (or English-only for international experts), with 300–500 Chinese characters or 200–350 English words. Full papers should not exceed 8,000 Chinese characters or 6,000 English words, including spaces, figures, and tables.
3. Formatting Requirements
Submissions must be in .doc (Word) format using A4 page layout. Please refer to the attachment for the abstract template.
4. Submission Deadline
Please submit the paper abstract by September 30, 2026.
5. Paper Acceptance
Abstracts of papers accepted after expert review will be compiled into a special publication titled Abstract Collection of Outstanding Papers for the 2026 World Science and Technology Development Forum, serving as official conference material and key deliverable for the WSTDF 2026 main forum.
