The IUPAC-SOLVAY International Award for Young Chemists is intended to encourage outstanding young research scientists at the beginning of their careers. The awards are given for the most outstanding Ph.D. theses in the general area of the chemical sciences, as described in a short essay.

The 2024 IUPAC-SOLVAY International Young Chemist Award will be presented at the 2025 IUPAC World Chemistry Congress, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from July 11-18, 2025. The awardee will receive a prize of $1000 and funding for travel expenses to attend the 2025 World Chemistry Congress. Additionally, the recipient will be invited to present a poster at the congress and will have the opportunity to publish a review article in Pure and Applied Chemistry.

Applications for this award must be completed online on the IUPAC website by February 15, 2024.
