The China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) announced the 2023 China Overseas Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition finalists in Hefei, Anhui Province on October 22-23, 2023.

Under the theme of "Sharing opportunities and shaping a future together", this year’s event set up 5 competing items including life and health, digital economy, green and low-carbon development, advanced manufacturing, and future technologies.

This year’s event established 12 sub-competing areas in 9 countries (regions) in North America, Europe, and Asia, and solicited totally 1,800 entries from more than 40 countries (regions) around the world, hitting a new record in its history.

A total of 5 first prizes, 10 second prizes, 15 third prizes, and 79 winners of excellence were awarded at the final of the event on October 22 .

At the award ceremony, prestigious domestic and foreign experts and heads of investment institutions delivered themed speeches respectively, and representatives of the winners conducted roadshows.

Besides the final award credentials, certificates of entrepreneurship mentors and global partners were presented to the winners’ projects as well.   

During the event, Overseas Entrepreneurs China Tour and Maker Training Camps were delivered to share development trends and cooperative clues in relevant fields.

In addition, opportunities were provided for the participating finalists to learn about China's science and talent policies, and innovation and entrepreneurship environment.

Investment resources and successful cases were demonstrated to provide guidance for high-quality projects to achieve practical results.
