2021 "SoftBank Robot Cup" the 3rd International Youth AI Competition
On December 4, the 2021 "SoftBank Robot Cup" the 3rd International Youth Artificial Intelligence Competition hosted by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence was grandly opened at the Jilin Provincial Science and Technology Museum. According to the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, the competition adopts a combination of online and offline methods. The participants include international teams from 35 countries around the world and a huge technological innovation team from 315 universities in China. The contestants engaged in a technological encounter and a clash of minds through the cloud.
Before the competition, Wang Shifeng, deputy director of the organizing committee of the International Youth Artificial Intelligence Competition, sent blessings to the vast number of international young friends through a video. Xia Donghua, executive deputy secretary-general of the competition, on behalf of the organizing committee of this competition, extended a sincere invitation to the international youth, hoping that the contestants will show their talents in the competition and contribute their youth to the advancement of artificial intelligence technology. Softbank Group and foreign experts respectively congratulated the holding of the contest. Fang Yanhong, director of the Jilin Province Science and Technology Association, announced the opening of the competition. The opening ceremony was presided over by Wang Liang, director of the Competition working committee of Jilin Robotics Society.
The Secretary-General Tan Qingji indicated that the International Youth Artificial Intelligence Competition has entered a stage of rapid development under the guidance of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Collaborative Project Working Committee and the support of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence. Humanoid robots, robotic dogs, unmanned driving, etc. are all the directions of future technological development. As the highlight of the competition, the humanoid robot Winter Olympics theme project was set up for the first time. He expressed the hope that through the International Youth Artificial Intelligence Competition, more and more young friends who love robotics and artificial intelligence technology can join the ranks of robot competitions and make new and greater contributions to the world sci-tech development.
