Professor Juyoung Yoon is a professor at Ewha Womans University in South Korea. He has made significant contributions in the field of sensor science, notably combining concepts of molecular recognition and organic reactions to develop novel fluorescent probes applicable to biology. Over the past 25 years, his research has proposed numerous groundbreaking strategies for designing fluorescent probes, functional organic materials, and activatable photosensitizers. Additionally, he has made substantial contributions to the development of integrated diagnostics and therapeutics through organic compound self-assembly, advancing the concept of "one-for-all" applications.
Professor Juyoung Yoon is a Fellow of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology. He has made important contributions to the development of chemistry in China and to the exchange between the Chinese Chemical Society and foreign scientists. He actively participates in organizing international academic conferences held in China and has contributed to nurturing outstanding scholars in the field of chemistry in China. In 2024, after voting by the CCS Standing Board, Professor Juyoung Yoon was elected as an Honorary Fellow of the CCS.
After the conferral ceremony, Professor Juyoung Yoon delivered an academic lecture titled "Recent Progress on Fluorescent Imaging Probes and Phototherapy".
