Beijing, May 25 -- Marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Pakistan, the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and the Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on promoting sci-tech people-to-people exchanges today at the Great Hall of the People.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

He Junke, Executive President and Chief Executive Secretary of the Secretariat of CAST, and Pakistani Ambassador to China Hashmi signed the document on behalf of their respective sides.

Designed to actively serve the China-Pakistan all-weather strategic cooperative partnership, the MoU aims to pragmatically advance scientific and cultural exchanges between the two nations.

Moving forward, both parties will work to implement the consensus outlined in the agreement. Their cooperation will focus on deepening academic exchanges in key fields, fostering broad people-to-people dialogue, jointly improving public scientific literacy, and collaborating on science education for the youth. These initiatives are set to contribute to building a closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.
