2026-06-10

Beijing, June 4 -- The Chinese Society of Engineers (CSE) officially launched its 2026 Sino-Foreign Engineering Capacity Building Series on Thursday in Beijing, aiming to further elevate the international collaboration capabilities of engineers and support Chinese enterprises in their international business growth.

The launch meeting was attended by Luo Hui, Executive Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and Vice President and Co-Secretary-General of the CSE, who delivered a concluding speech.

During the event, the CSE Secretariat reviewed the overall performance of the 2025 training program, while CAST’s Department of International Affairs outlined the comprehensive arrangements for 2026.

Representatives from the Shandong Association for Science and Technology, the Zhejiang Society of Engineers, and the CSE Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Committee shared their successful experiences from the previous year.

The 2025 program received widespread acclaim from partner organizations and engineers from both China and abroad. It successfully fostered international exchanges in the engineering sector, enhanced the overseas development capabilities of Chinese engineers, and demonstrated China's engineering expertise and its commitment to serving the global market.

Looking ahead to 2026, the CSE highlighted a rapid increase in participation from domestic and international engineering organizations, enterprises, and professionals, alongside an expanded geographic coverage.

The meeting emphasized the critical importance of the program, urging all relevant units to strengthen coordination and meticulously organize the events to ensure they meet high standards and achieve their intended goals.

Over 60 representatives from more than 25 organizations -- including the CSE Secretariat, national academic societies, provincial associations for science and technology, provincial engineering societies, universities, and enterprises -- attended the meeting either in person or via video link.

The event was organized by the CSE Secretariat and the CAST Center for Professional Training and Services.
