Wan Gang Meets with Delegation from ADWM

Beijing, May 26 -- Wan Gang, President of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), met in Beijing with a delegation from the Academy of German World Market Leaders(Akademie Deutscher Weltmarktfuehrer, ADWM).

The two sides exchanged views on enhancing scientific exchanges and deepening industrial and technological cooperation between China and Germany.

Luo Hui, Executive Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of CAST, also attended the meeting.

Wan Gang noted that China and Germany are important partners in economic, trade, and technological innovation, with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) serving as a vital cornerstone for bilateral economic and tech cooperation.

He expressed hope that both sides would strengthen collaboration in fields including high-end manufacturing, green energy, and digital infrastructure.

These efforts aim to promote mutual learning in science, technology, and culture, solidify the foundation of bilateral friendship, and support the sustained and healthy development of the China-Germany all-around strategic partnership.

The German delegation applauded China's developmental achievements in digitalization and new energy vehicles (NEVs). They also introduced the development status of Germany's "hidden champion" enterprises and their willingness to cooperate with China.

The German side expressed its readiness to enhance exchanges with China's sci-tech industry and deepen practical cooperation with Chinese universities, research institutions, and enterprises to jointly stimulate innovation vitality.

Officials from the General Office, Department of Sci-tech Innovation, Department of Strategic Development, and Department of International Affairs of CAST accompanied the meeting.
