Luo Hui meets with the Deputy Secretary of State for Culture and Innovation of Hungary
Luo Hui, Executive Secretary of the leading Party members group and Director General of the Department of International Affairs of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), met with László Bódis, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation of Hungary, and his delegation who is paying a visit to China on March 27, 2025.
The two sides reached a consensus on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fields of technological innovation and talent cultivation. They acknowledged the significant importance both countries place on these areas and expressed optimism about the vast potential for future collaborative endeavors.
According to the discussions, an academic exchange network will be established in the near future, focusing on the cultivation of young sci-tech talents. This initiative aims to promote more young scientists to engage in dialogue and cooperation in the field of science and technology.
Furthermore, the two sides agreed to jointly carry out mutual recognition of engineer capabilities and engineering capability training. This collaboration is designed to support more young engineering and technical personnel from both China and Hungary in entering emerging industries including New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) and biotechnology.
Additionally, China and Hungary would join hands to promote science communication and exchange in the field of scientific culture. Efforts would be made to stimulate young people's interest in science through various approaches, including tour exhibitions of science museum and scientist-themed exhibitions.
This series of cooperation initiatives marks a new chapter in the bilateral relationship between China and Hungary, highlighting the shared commitment to advancing technological progress and nurturing future talents.
Officials from the Department of Publicity and Culture, the Department of Sci-tech Innovation, the Department of Science Popularization and the Department of International Affairs of CAST, as well as representatives from the World Association of Young Scientists (WAYS) and the China Society of Automotive Engineers attended the meeting.
