The 12th World Congress of Chemical Engineering and the 21st Asian Pacific Confederation of Chemical Engineering Congress (WCCE 12 & APCChE 2025) (WCCE12 & APCChE 2025) kicked off on Monday at the China National Convention Center in Beijing.

This marks the first time that WCCE and APCChE congresses are jointly being held in China. The event aims to foster exchange and integration among academia and the technological and industrial fields.

The five-day event has brought together nearly 5,000 participants from 66 countries, including leading scientists, industry pioneers, and business executives. During the gathering, attendees will share cutting-edge technologies and innovative achievements in chemical engineering.

As a key supporting event, the 2025 International Chemical Engineering Innovation Expo commenced on the same day. Spanning over 11,000 square meters, the exhibition features more than 130 companies and organizations from around the world. The event has drawn more than 1,000 corporate representatives, over 5,000 congress delegates, and over 20,000 professional visitors.

The World Congress of Chemical Engineering, held every four years, is widely recognized as a top event for the chemical engineering profession, and stands as the field's most influential international exchange platform.

During the event, organizers will also release the "Beijing Initiative: Embracing Paradigm Shifts, Creating a Greener Future through Intelligent Manufacturing," a declaration aimed at forging a global consensus and contributing Chinese insights to the transformation of chemical engineering worldwide.
